How to Play DVDs for Free in Windows 10. When you first insert a DVD, Windows 10 will ask you what you want to set as the default action for that media type. If you want your discs to play.
Please follow the below steps:
1. Press the hotkey Win+X to open the Windows administrative menu. Then select Control Panel from this menu to open Windows Control Panel.
2. In the Control Panel, type DVD in the search box. Click on the Play CDs or other media automatically under the AutoPlay category.
In the AutoPlay window, scroll down until you see the DVD category. Choose an action for all different types of the DVD media. Typically, you have to choose Run Enhanced Content.

Thank you for getting back to me. I have tried your suggestions as you indicate in your email below.
After following your steps one and two. In AutoPlay window I scrolled down to the DVD category and chose the following actions for the 4 different types of the DVD media.
DVD Movie - Import Photo & Video
Enhanced DVD Movie - Run Enhancement
Blank DVD - Burn files to disc
DVD Audio - Import photos and Videos ( Dropbox)
Then pressed Save and tried to run a DVD but no success. What came up was a box titled 'Camera Upload'
'Keep your memories safe' 'Start Importing'.
Can you please advise me what I have done wrong?
